Alessandro Barberis

Mr Barberis joined Ithaca Energy in October 2024 as EVP Exploration. Prior to joining Ithaca Energy, Mr Barberis was acting as VP Exploration for Var Energi ASA, an Eni group company. Mr Barberis has spent his career in the Eni upstream sector both in Italy and abroad having joined Eni in 1992. He previously held the position within Eni of VP Exploration for the Americas, Europe, Central Far East Asia and Pacific for 15 years. Mr Barberis also held senior leadership positions for Eni in Exploration through different assignments in Italy and abroad (Northern Europe, North Africa, East Mediterranean). Mr Barberis has also served both as a director and Chairman on the boards of Eni subsidiaries in Italy and abroad.
