Dave Blackwood

Mr Blackwood has over 47 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector, including seven years in the service sector with Schlumberger in the North Sea and the Middle East, and 27 years in various global roles within BP, including heading up BP’s upstream business in the UK and Norway. Since leaving BP in 2009, Mr Blackwood has been a Senior Advisor with Evercore, and has been a non executive director with Valiant Petroleum, Expro, and most recently acting as a non-executive director at Premier Oil plc for four years, from 2017 to 2021. Mr Blackwood has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Glasgow.
